Emma had gone out for the day so I had the house all to myself. I was working on a website but managed to find enough distractions to keep me from doing it. This was one of them - the haircut. I hadn't had my hair cut since May 2005 (it really does take that long to grow) and I decided it was time. I asked my dad if I could borrow his cheap hair trimmers and got to work...

The Realisation...

When your hair is in this state, there's not a lot you can do with it. I must have been getting through a tub of gel/wax a week to keep it on end. I thought I'd try a few hairstyles first before trimming commenced...

The comb over...

It's important try out a few styles before it is all too late. I opted for the side parting to start off with.

The Seagull...

Maybe a centre-parting would work...

maybe not.

The 50's throw back...

Combing your hair against it's natural grain can't be good can it?

The norm...

It takes half a tub of gel to get my hair like this. Although it may look cool, I was fed up of finding spider's webs in my hair from when it touches the ceiling. It's gotta go.

My Saviour...

Shaving off your hair sounds easy.

It ain't.

Too late now...

Trying to be clever, I thought I'd try the 'undercut' look. I couldn't actually see where I was shaving at the back of my head so I continued...

The Mohican...

This is possibly the last of the mohicans - you don't se them very often now like you used to.

Sit down and shut up you big bald fuck...

Sorry - had to quote a film for the title. Was it snatch? Think so. Anyway - job's a gud 'un.

I'm now completely hairless and it's bloddy freezing when you go outside. Only I would shave off my hair in the middle of winter.

Charity sales...

I'll be auctioning off my hair on ebay if anybody is interested.

Yeah, right.
