It
wasn't really a 'date' as such other than the part of it that is contained
within the gregorian calendar. I hadn't seen Chad Philipps for a while
and it was time we went out. There was only one problem though. Where
would we go? Would we go to Kinver to his neckof the woods or does he
come to Wolverhampton? How would he get home? How would we get home.
The plan was made, and it was a very simple plan. He asked his missus
to drive us about while we drank and became merry and all that. Cheers

Double Date... Like I said above, not much of a date thing going on here, we just wanted to go out as two couples and get drunk-ish. We had a quick drink at home just before we set off to drink in a variety of public houses in Wombourne. From left to right: Jackie, Chad P, Emma and me (Chad to those of you who don't know me) |

The old (and empty) Bush Avid followers of the Unplanned Journey will recognise this Pub from previous nights out. We chose to come in here first for a bit of a quiet pint and then progress steadily upwards through the more 'occupied' drinking establishments. |

Chad P... This photo was taken more out of 'Entertainment' value rather than out of curiosity. I was given a couple of strange glances as I entered the men's toilets with camera in hand in preparation for the 'surprise' photo. Chad's concentration lapsed momentarily but not enough for him to soil himself and create a map of Africa on his denim attire. Good work fella. |

The happy couple #1 What? We are happy. Look at our 'happy' smiles and our 'happy' hearts beating as one. Emma's hair always turns out ginger when I take a picture of her. I've spent most of my life taking the piss out of Chad's ginger crop (while he takes the piss out of my gut) and it seems I now have a new victim to try out all of my bad ginger jokes on. |

Last orders at the bar please... Look at all the people rushing to the bar to cram in that last drink before they go home. Ok, so it wasn't last orders. Maybe I'd passed out and woken up at 5am and taken a photo and forgotten about it. No - there really was nobody here apart from us, the barmaid and a strange damp smell eminating from the men's toilets. |

The Round Oak I think this is what the pub is called. It was too cold to hang around and get a pic of the outside. Chad P took this picture to prove that we actually do go to busy bars on the odd occasion. |

Ghost face... I failed to bring along my external flashgun which is why Jackie looks like she's got the Michael Jackson effect. The built-in flash on my camera is a bit cak but I turned out alright again. Funny that. |

The Red Lion... This is The Red Lion. It's been on earth since the doomsday book was written or something like that. I think most of it's customers are that old as well. Jackie can be seen here sucking the gingerness out of Chad and using it's goodness to replenish her hair colour. I might also add that she is not a natural ginger. |

No tricks here... No, this is not trick photography, Emma is really that tall and Jackie really is that short. This is the last photo from the double date and fun was had by all. We'll have to do it again sometime and drink a lot more. Coming soon... Double date in Kinver???? |
